Job description

Apprentice Service Technician – Recreational Vehicles

RV Techs know a little bit about everything: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, etc. If you have experience in any of these areas, we will teach you the rest. To start in our dealership, you don't need specific RV experience, but you do need to be handy, dedicated, responsible, and professional. We run an honest shop and need honest, hard-working techs. To succeed at our dealership, you need solid skills and strong ethics. We also understand that keeping good service techs involves fair pay and opportunities for learning and advancement. Here, you'll work alongside some of the best in the business and earn great money while doing it. If you love diagnosing and repairing vehicles with a positive attitude, let's talk!

Job Responsibilities
  1. Examine and diagnose RV units.
  2. Discuss repairs with shop foreman, lead tech, or service advisor.
  3. Communicate additional service requests to the service advisor.
  4. Plan work in cooperation with the shop foreman.
  5. Provide labor estimates to the service advisor.
  6. Monitor repair times and update the service advisor.
  7. Complete documentation for client unit repairs.
  8. Perform PDI's on inventory.
  9. Understand and follow federal, provincial, and local regulations (such as hazardous waste disposal).
Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED, or 1 to 3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Operator Driver's License (must be insurable).

Compensation

$30.00 - $40.00, depending on experience and certification.
