Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Sundre is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Myron Thompson Health Centre on a 0.75 FTE regular part-time basis. You will work across acute care, long term care, and emergency units, guided by CLPNA scope and interdisciplinary collaboration.

You will provide safe, patient- and family-centred care while applying nursing processes and critical thinking in a multidisciplinary setting. A rotating shift pattern covers days, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• Completion of courses consistent with full scope of practice required, including IV Therapy and IV Medication Administration as an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with the interprofessional team.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centred care within CLPNA scope.
• Work as part of an interprofessional health care team using nursing processes and critical thinking.
• Adhere to applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies and procedures.
• Rotate through Acute Care, Long Term Care and Emergency units as assigned.
