Job summary

Alberta Health Services WestView Hospital in Westview Health Centre seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support ambulatory clinics in outpatient care, IV therapy, wound care and ED follow-up as part of a three-clinic team.

The role requires completion of an accredited LPN program, active or eligible registration, BCLS-HCP, and willingness to cover days, evenings and weekends per rotation; the 0.47 FTE position is offered with temporary PT benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as an LPN with CLHA.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Responsibilities

• Work within WestView Hospital ambulatory clinics to serve outpatients.
• Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking and decision making in patient care.
• Provide safe, high quality, patient- and family-centred care.
