Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  • Sort, collect, and deliver mail items safely and efficiently
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
  • Ensure mail is securely in possession
Additional Responsibilities
  • Process CPC products and services (Change of Address, Damaged Mail, Items Delivered Bill, etc.)
  • Wear Canada Post identification visibly during deliveries
  • Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
  • Operate a motor vehicle in all weather conditions
Qualifications
Vehicle Requirements
  • Valid provincial driver’s license - class 5 or G
  • Satisfactory safe driving record
  • Minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters)
  • Automatic transmission, power windows, metal roof-top, accessory power outlet
  • Middle of passenger window sill between 38” and 45” from ground, maximum interior width of 56”
  • Preferred: Fifth door/hatchback for oversized items
  • Maintain automobile liability insurance and notify insurer of employment use
