Job Description

Imagine making the open road your office. As an on-call relief Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier with Canada Post, you will deliver mail to various communities, working independently and operating a motor vehicle in all weather conditions.

We are looking for dependable, organized individuals who enjoy working independently and are comfortable operating vehicles in diverse weather and traffic conditions. This role offers a chance to grow within our organization, with potential eligibility for permanent positions.

Responsibilities
  • Sort, collect, and deliver mail safely and efficiently
  • Maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
  • Ensure the security of mail in your possession
  • Process CPC products and services (e.g., Change of Address, Damaged Mail, IDB)
  • Wear visible Canada Post identification during deliveries
  • Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
Qualifications & Vehicle Requirements
  • Valid provincial driver’s license (Class 5 or G)
  • Good safe driving record
  • Minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters)
  • Automatic transmission, power windows, and vehicle modifications for signage and lighting
  • Provide and maintain automobile liability insurance
Additional Requirements

Pass an interview and provide a current driver’s abstract within 30 days. Be prepared to submit your resume and driving record if selected.
