Job Description

As an on-call relief Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier with Canada Post, you will deliver mail across various communities, working independently in all weather conditions. This role offers a rewarding career path with growth opportunities and potential for permanent positions.

Responsibilities
  • Sort, collect, and deliver mail safely and efficiently
  • Maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, roads, and delivery points
  • Secure mail during transit
  • Process CPC products and services (e.g., Change of Address, Damaged Mail)
  • Wear and display Canada Post identification during deliveries
  • Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Valid permanent provincial driver’s license (Class 5 or G)
  • Satisfactory safe driving record
  • Vehicle with minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters), automatic transmission, power windows, and accessory power outlet
  • Provide automobile liability insurance and maintain proper documentation
Additional Information

Applicants must pass an interview and provide a current driver’s abstract (within last 30 days) and resume. The role requires working independently, operating a vehicle in varied weather, and adhering to Canada Post’s values of Trust, Respect, and Delivery.
