Job Description

Imagine making the open road your office. As an on-call relief Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier with Canada Post, you will deliver mail to various communities, working independently in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include sorting, collecting, and delivering mail safely and efficiently, maintaining knowledge of local infrastructure, processing CPC products and services, wearing identification, and lifting items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid provincial driver’s license (class 5 or G), have a safe driving record, and a vehicle with minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters). Vehicles should have automatic transmission, power windows, a metal rooftop, and a passenger window sill between 38” and 45” from the ground. The vehicle must be insured and suitable for delivery needs.

Additional Requirements

Pass an interview and provide a current driver’s abstract within 30 days. You must also provide a resume and vehicle insurance documentation.
