Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  • Sort, collect, and deliver mail items safely and timely
  • Maintain knowledge of local infrastructure including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
  • Ensure mail is securely in your possession
Additional Responsibilities
  • Process CPC products and services such as Change of Address, Damaged Mail, Items Delivered Bill (IDB), etc.
  • Wear Canada Post identification visibly during delivery and collection
  • Lift and carry items up to 50 lb / 22.7 kg
  • Operate a motor vehicle and make deliveries in all weather conditions
Qualifications and Vehicle Requirements
  • Valid permanent provincial driver’s license - class 5 or G
  • Good safe driving record
  • Minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters)
  • Automatic transmission, power windows, and a metal roof-top with accessory power outlet
  • Middle of passenger window sill between 38” and 45” from the ground; maximum interior width of 56”
  • Fifth door/hatchback for oversized items (preferred)
  • Provide and maintain automobile liability insurance
