About the Role

As an on-call relief Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier with Canada Post, you will deliver mail to various communities, working independently and in all weather conditions. This role offers a chance to grow into permanent positions and be part of a reputable organization committed to diversity and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project a positive and courteous manner when dealing with customers face-to-face
  • Sort, collect, and deliver mail items safely and efficiently
  • Maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, roads, and delivery points
  • Ensure mail is securely handled and delivered
  • Process CPC products and services such as Change of Address, Damaged Mail, and IDB
  • Wear Canada Post identification visibly during deliveries
  • Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
  • Operate a motor vehicle in all weather conditions
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Valid permanent provincial driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Minimum cargo capacity of 100 cu ft (2832 liters)
  • Vehicle equipped with a metal rooftop sign and flashing light
  • Fifth door/hatchback preferred for bulky items
  • Provide and maintain automobile liability insurance

This position may be considered Safety Sensitive. Candidates must pass a pre-employment test and interview, and provide a resume, recent driver’s abstract, and character reference letter.
