Job Description

As an on-call relief Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier with Canada Post, you will deliver mail to various communities, working independently in all weather conditions. Job Responsibilities
  • Sort, collect, and deliver mail safely and efficiently
  • Maintain knowledge of local infrastructure including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
  • Secure mail during delivery
Additional Responsibilities
  • Process CPC products and services (e.g., Change of Address, Damaged Mail, IDB)
  • Wear Canada Post identification visibly during delivery
  • Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
  • Operate motor vehicle in all weather conditions
Vehicle Requirements
  • Satisfactory safe driving record and valid provincial driver’s license (Class 5 or G)
  • Minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters)
  • Automatic transmission, power windows, metal roof-top, accessory power outlet
  • Vehicle dimensions suitable for loading oversized and bulky items
  • Maintain automobile liability insurance
