Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer (L3) to lead design, engineering, and operation of enterprise backup and recovery platforms. You will focus on disaster recovery, ransomware protection, and cyber resilience across hybrid environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with IBM Storage Protect, IBM Storage Defender Data Protect, Commvault and Rubrik, and will operate as an L3 escalation point while collaborating with security, cloud, and application teams.

Job Summary

The Senior Storage Engineer (L3) – Backup & Recovery is responsible for the design, engineering, operation, and optimization of enterprise data protection platforms supporting mission-critical workloads. This role serves as a technical leader and escalation point, ensuring high availability, recoverability, and cyber resilience across hybrid environments. The engineer will lead initiatives leveraging IBM Storage Protect, IBM Storage Defender Data Protect, Commvault, and Rubrik, with a strong focus on disaster recovery, ransomware protection, and enterprise-scale backup architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, operate, and optimize enterprise backup and recovery platforms supporting mission-critical workloads.
• Serve as a technical leader and L3 escalation point for backup, recovery, and data protection issues.
• Manage and support IBM Storage Protect and IBM Storage Defender Data Protect environments.
• Manage and support Commvault and Rubrik backup and recovery platforms.
