Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and business-savvy Senior Data Scientist to join our growing Data & AI team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end data science solutions that drive strategic decisions and operational efficiency across multiple domains. This role requires a mix of advanced analytics, machine learning expertise, and strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models and data-driven solutions to solve real-world business problems (e.g., churn prediction, customer segmentation, recommendation systems).
• Design and run experiments (A / B testing, uplift modeling) to validate hypotheses and optimize decision-making.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the availability, accuracy, and scalability of data pipelines and data products.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical requirements.
• Communicate findings and recommendations through compelling data storytelling and visualizations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in machine learning, AI, and data science methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a Data Science or Machine Learning role, ideally in fast-paced or high-impact environments.
• Strong knowledge of Python and relevant libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow, statsmodels).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Solid foundation in statistics, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and processes (e.g., MLflow, CI / CD for ML models).
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills to deliver insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with unstructured data (text, image, or audio).
• Background in product analytics, growth, or marketing optimization.
• Knowledge of experimentation frameworks (e.g., uplift modeling, multi-armed bandits).
• Familiarity with dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

Location of this position : Toronto (On-site / Monday to Friday)
