Job summary

Source Code in Toronto is seeking a Junior Software Developer for a 1-year contract, onsite at 222 Jarvis Street. The role requires hands-on Java development with Oracle/SQL, REST APIs and strong Agile experience.

You will translate specifications into working applications, develop detailed specs, write and test code, and assist with migrations and troubleshooting while collaborating with IT teams.

Location :222 Jarvis Street, Toronto (5 days ONSITE)

Duration: 1 yearContract (283 Business days) + 1 possible extension

Must Have:

• 2+ years of experience as a designer and developer in the large-scale multi-client web applications
• 2+ year of hands-on working experience of Java development with Oracle or SQL database
• 2+ years of hands-on experience of RestAPI, RESTful WebServices
• Knowledge of security gateways and protocols (JWT, Oauth2.0, SSL Certificates)
• Solid Understanding of Agile methodologies

Responsibilities

Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.

This includes:

• developing detailed programming specifications
• writing and/or generating code o compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.

Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations.

• Proved business knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Accounts Payable and Inventory Modules of Oracle E-Business
• Great knowledge of Oracle E-Business table structure related to GL, AR, Collections, AP, INV and FND
• Strong knowledge of SQL tuning and using partition tables
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of data warehouse, ETL methodologies and OBIEE
• Demonstrated work experience on Java and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) will be a great asset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership abilities to be able to oversee the quality assurance of the project from technical perspective
