Job summary

Source Code is seeking a Sr. Solutions Designer to join on-site in Toronto, focusing on large-scale software design using RESTful and microservices. You will architect containerized solutions and enable integrations with Panorama and internal applications via APIs.

You will guide performance tuning, security alignment, and deployment readiness, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must have IaC, data governance, and integration architecture experience.
• Experience in DevOps engineering and automation across the lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance large scale software systems using RESTful & Micro Services based architecture.
• Design containerized based solutions/architecture.
• Prepare and enhance solution designs for integration with Panorama, PHIX, ICON for Public, and m-IMMS via APIs.
• Conduct performance tuning and recommend performance improvements for Panorama.
• Provide technical guidance, QA, and support build/test/deploy environments; oversee junior staff.
• Collaborate with architects to maintain consistent object, data, interface, and application models.
• Work with infrastructure, deployment, and security teams to define physical deployment and security alignment.
• Provide incident management support, application sustainment, and technical documentation.
• Lead solution intake requests, options analysis, and proposals.

ONSITE 5 days - Yonge St. Toronto

Security Level: CRJMC

• Design, develop and enhance large scale software systems using RESTful & Micro Services based architecture and design
• Design containerized based solutions/architecture
• Prepare and continuously enhance solution designs to enable integration with the Panorama product, in-house developed applications (such as PHIX, ICON for Public, and m-IMMS via APIs with Panorama), as well as external systems.
• Conduct performance tuning and recommend performance improvement solution for Panorama product
• Provide technical guidance, quality assurance/control and support the build, test and deploy environments, overseeing junior staff members
• Work with relevant architects to ensure a consistent object model, data model, interface model and application model is maintained
• Work with infrastructure, operational and deployment and technical teams to define the physical deployment of the products
• Work with security architects and privacy SMEs to ensure that the application design and physical deployment are ensuring the required level of security and adhere to data privacy standards
• Provide overall technical support for incident management, application functionality sustainment, performance tuning and technical documentation
• Participate and lead in solution intake requests, for solutions options analysis, recommendation, estimates and proposals.
