Description

Hybrid Work Environment: The successful candidate is expected to work onsite at 222 Jarvis St 3 days per week, and may work remotely up to 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications, including:
  • Developing detailed programming specifications
  • Writing and generating code
  • Compiling data-driven programs
  • Maintaining and conducting unit tests
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems during software use and operation, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion, and migrations.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in programming, analysis, and support of specialized software packages
• Ability to collaborate across the Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience with structured development methodologies, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation
• Proficiency in object-oriented and third-generation languages
• Experience with database technologies, application design, and deployment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to meet deadlines as a team player

Additional Skills

• Knowledge of Internet application development, RAD methodologies, and information management principles
• Experience with middleware, gateways, and scripting for product installation
• Ability to provide post-implementation support and documentation
• Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards

Specific Technical Requirements
