Description

The job involves providing advice on testing strategies, planning, and organizing testing efforts for large systems in GUI and non-GUI environments. Responsibilities include developing test plans, scripts, and cases, and executing various tests such as system integration, specialized, and user acceptance testing. The role requires collaboration with project teams and supporting testing activities throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and cases.
  • Plan and organize testing efforts for large systems.
  • Support and participate in UAT activities.
  • Provide remediation recommendations in application design, architecture, and UI/UX.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in planning and implementing testing efforts.
  • Knowledge of structured testing methodologies and tools, including automated testing and version control systems.
  • Experience with functional, non-functional, and system integration testing.
  • Support for UAT and quality assurance principles.
  • Proficiency in creating testing documentation and data.
  • Experience with SDLC phases, analytical skills, and effective communication.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of programming languages.
  • Experience with information retrieval, testing in object-oriented environments, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience with large and small system testing, automation scripting, and testing COTS applications.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice on application design and architecture.
  • Expertise in tools like Jira and Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Oracle DB, J2EE, HTML, XML.
  • Work on additional projects as needed.

Experience & Skills:

  • Extensive defect management and automation scripting experience.
  • Proficiency with testing tools, manual and automated testing, load testing, and accessibility testing.
  • Experience with web and mobile technologies, DevOps/Agile methodologies.
  • Strong documentation and bug reporting skills.

Must Haves:

  • Experience in defect triage, bug reporting, and test case creation.
  • 5-10 years in automation and manual testing across various testing types.
