Description

The resources will act as subject matter experts on datacenter networks and cloud project initiatives, including:

• Enabling and supporting the daily operations of the Government of Ontario's datacenters (GDC, Colo3, and Business Connect) and cloud providers (Azure, AWS, IBM, Google).
• Designing and configuring advanced security for existing on-premises applications and new cloud environments.
• Assisting with complex migrations from on-premises to public cloud providers.
• Developing operational procedures and sustaining Government Cloud offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting day-to-day operations of AHS and Cloud applications (e.g., patching, monitoring).
• Integrating and securing cloud services for applications.
• Providing operational support for networking/security for GDC/Colo3, Business Connect/OPCS, perimeter firewalls for Azure and AWS, including incident/problem management.
• Providing on-call support when required, managing tickets promptly, and updating clients/management on status, adhering to SLA metrics.
• Providing technical Method of Procedure (MoP) for all changes.
• Acquiring network captures, documenting root causes, and working on network/security project initiatives alongside KTLO activities.
