Job summary

Providence Care Hospital in Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to deliver safe, patient-centred care in a non-acute setting under hospital policies.

The role involves taking nursing histories, developing care plans, administering medications, and reassessing plans with the care team.

You must hold an active CNO license, CPR, and the required certificates; we offer competitive wages and HOOPP.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license to practice with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Medication Certificate dated after 1985 meeting Ontario nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Completing a nursing history from patient, family and others.
• Developing and recording a goal oriented nursing care plan with the patient.
• Performing interventions within scope and available resources.
• Following prescribed medical regimes accurately.
• Re-assessing plans based on goals and outcomes.
• Recognizing unusual patient responses and consulting as needed.
• Revising care plans using professional judgment.
