Job summary

The Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for the Mother Baby Unit to support high-risk obstetric and neonatal care. You will partner with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to postpartum patients and stable neonates.

You will refine postpartum assessment, lactation support, patient education, discharge planning, and collaboration with families, while mentoring learners and contributing to quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse with current CNO standing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competency in College of Nurses of Ontario Entry to Practice Competencies for RPNs.
• Deliver safe, competent and ethical nursing care with sound judgment.
• Collaborate with intra- and interdisciplinary team members in a timely, supportive manner.
• Contribute to discharge planning and care coordination to facilitate transitions.
