Job summary

Sinai Health seeks a Registered Practical Nurse to support the Complex Medical & Palliative Care department. The role emphasizes independent practice within the RPN scope, collaboration with the interprofessional team, and comprehensive documentation of care.

This Temporary Full-Time position (up to 7 months) offers Day/Evening rotations and requires current CNO registration and BCLS. Employment is contingent on credential verification and vaccination status per policy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CNO-approved Practical Nursing (PN) program.
• Currently registered as an RPN and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Practice independently within the RPN scope of practice per CNO standards and Sinai Health policies.
• Identify changing patient needs and collaborate with the interprofessional team.
• Monitor and document progress of care plans and outcomes.
• Mentor learners, peers and other health professionals.
• Provide health education to patients and families.
• Assess spiritual, cultural and psychosocial needs of patients.
• Document assessments, care provision, and evaluations accurately.
• Collaborate with patient and multidisciplinary team in care provision.
