Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all tasks assigned by the Operational ROV Supervisor during operation, maintenance, repair, and preparation of the ROV;
  • Adhere to the DOF Subsea Personal Record of Competence;
  • Ensure compliance with all Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment requirements during tasks;
  • Participate in familiarization and debriefing sessions prior to mobilization and demobilization (if applicable);
  • Contribute to projects and complete tasks as per specific functional descriptions;
  • Follow all guidance and instructions outlined in the Business Management System (BMS);
  • Perform work tasks according to established procedures and routines in the DOF Subsea Atlantic quality system and relevant project procedures, with particular attention to ROV operation and documentation;
  • Be familiar with the ROV system;
  • Operate and maintain the ROV system in accordance with procedures and standards.

Requirements

Key Competencies (knowledge, training/education, behaviors):

  • Previous experience with work class ROV systems;
  • Post-secondary education with a focus in ROV (Remote Operated Vehicles), Electrical, Engineering Technology, Mechanic, or related fields; or equivalent experience/training;
  • Knowledge of technical specifications and standards within the renewables industry;
  • Technical proficiency in computer and electronic interfacing;
  • Experience with technical testing and troubleshooting;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask under pressure;
  • Strong communication skills, including reading and writing proficiency;
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
