Job Description:

The Route Technician is a service-oriented and skilled individual interested in building relationships with clients. The responsibilities include the following:

Build client relationships with new and existing customers and, in doing so, generate new sales of services and products. Route Technicians may have the opportunity to progress within the company.

As a Route Technician, you will completely service and inspect fire protection equipment on-site at client premises.

Equipment can include the following:

  • Kitchen Systems
  • Hand Portable Fire Extinguishers
  • Emergency Lights
  • Fire Hoses
  • Other Fire and Security Equipment

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of related experience.
  • Sales experience or sales aptitude preferred. An engaging personality is preferred.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
  • Aptitude for or experience in providing excellent customer service, including that related to service and repairs.
  • Effective customer-oriented communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • G Driver's License.

Physical Requirements

  • Physical Stamina: Stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
  • Strength: Capability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in handling tools and performing tasks that require fine motor skills.
  • Flexibility: Ability to bend, kneel, and reach in various positions.
  • Endurance: Capacity to perform repetitive tasks and maintain energy levels.
  • Visual and Auditory Acuity: Good vision and hearing to ensure safety and accuracy in tasks.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation: The Route Technician role evolves to an hourly rate plus commission as follows:

  • 90 Day Probationary Period: $20/hour
  • After 90 Days: $17.55/hour PLUS 10% Commission.
  • Range of Total compensation: $50k - $75k, depending upon experience and performance.
