Route Service Manager

The Route Service Manager leads all functions and operational aspects of the service department and is accountable for achieving targeted growth and operating cost goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen and leadership abilities. Previous supervisory experience in B2B sales and service is a plus. We seek an enthusiastic, motivated individual interested in career growth and success.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily activities of the Service Department.
  • Create and lead a diverse team to deliver top-tier customer service through positive leadership, ongoing direction, coaching, and career development.
  • Hire, train, and develop service employees.
  • Maintain a “Customers for Life” attitude within the team by upholding high customer service standards.
  • Ensure vehicle safety and fleet maintenance.
  • Create and support annual business unit plans.
  • Oversee proper utilization of service systems.
  • Promote the UniFirst culture of value and integrity to achieve customer satisfaction, account growth, and profitability.
  • Develop solutions for customers that add value and help them meet their business objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and handle various customer concerns.
  • Remain calm under pressure and solve problems effectively.
  • Understand priorities and delegate appropriately.
  • Ability to negotiate, train, coach, and lead a team positively.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be of legal age, possess a valid non-commercial driver’s license, and have a safe driving record.
Education:
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
