Job summary

Old Dutch Foods Ltd is seeking a Route Sales Associate to deliver, sell and service retailers with popular snack brands in Ontario. The role requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently while maintaining strong customer relations.

You will complete a comprehensive 6-week training and receive a competitive salary of 45–52k CAD per year, paid weekly, plus a 2% commission on routes covered, mileage reimbursement, benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education; post-secondary is an asset.
• Sales or retail experience is an asset.
• Valid/clean Class G driver’s license (driver’s abstract required).
• Reliable transportation to travel to locations; mileage paid where applicable.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, sell and merchandise Old Dutch/Humpty Dumpty products to store shelves and displays.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure product freshness.
• Follow established delivery/service schedule.
• Operate handheld invoicing system and handle daily settlements.

The Job

As a Route Sales Associate, you would deliver, sell, and service retailers with an assortment of popular snack food brands.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, sell, and merchandise Old Dutch/ Humpty Dumpty products onto store shelves and displays (delivery trucks are used and driver training is provided).
• Manage inventory levels and ensure product freshness.
• Follow with an established delivery/service schedule.
• Operate a handheld invoicing computer system and be responsible for daily settlements.
• Service and communicate to customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 education (post-secondary education is an asset)
• Sales experience or retail experience is an asset.
• Valid/clean Class G driver’s license. (Drivers abstract must be provided)
• Reliable transportation to get you to and from various locations. (Mileage paid where applicable)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective organization skills and can handle multiple priorities.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Able to perform physically demanding work (lifting, bending, kneeling, etc.)
• Ability to travel on occasion.

Training and Remuneration

• Comprehensive 6-week training that will give you the skills and confidence to succeed.
• Old Dutch Foods Ltd. offers a competitive salary (45-52k/year) with salary paid weekly.
• Commission incentive (2%) when covering routes independently in addition to weekly salary, company benefits, KM reimbursement when travelling and future advancement opportunities.
