Our Division & Communities

Foothills School Division (FSD) serves the learning needs of approximately 8000 students from preschool to grade 12. We operate 22 public schools, an online digital school, an alternative campus, and three colony schools. These are located in the towns of Okotoks, High River, and Diamond Valley, and the communities of Blackie, Cayley, Heritage Heights, Red Deer Lake, Longview, Millarville and Foothills County.

Applicant Eligibility

Forming Round 3 of the certificated staffing cycle for the 2026/2027 school year.

Special Assignment Consideration

The Division is willing to combine this assignment with a part-time (0.5 FTE) Learning Coach assignment at Turner Valley School. The combined assignments would allow the successful candidate to hold a temporary, full-time contract for the remainder of the school year.

Further, your practice assesses individual student variables to inform the design of meaningful and experiential learning opportunities and effective assessment practice.

Your ability to foster effective professional relationships with student, families, staff and community is critical. You demonstrate a willingness to engage in extra-curricular activities and support students in the whole school experience that characterizes effective schools.Your capacity to integrate technologies and support experiential learning that connects students to community resources within Maker-centered learning, CTF and CTS learning environments is evident.
