Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Degree required.
  • Licensed with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia in good standing.

Job description

Mint Health + Drugs is a fast-growing, pharmacist-owned company with 19 locations in Western Canada, dedicated to exceptional care and service beyond a typical drug store.

The Rotational Operations Pharmacist is a key member of the Operations Team responsible for providing relief to pharmacy sites requiring a pharmacist due to absences and supporting process improvement initiatives. This role ensures uninterrupted pharmacy operations, enhancing operational efficiency, and sustaining a competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide relief coverage across assigned regions
  • Advise patients on prescription medication usage
  • Create and maintain accurate records
  • Assist in training and developing site staff
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation
  • Communicate with site manager
  • Stock of pharmaceutical supplies
  • Source contractors for operational needs
  • Collaborate on process improvement initiatives
  • Conduct informal audits to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Report operational concerns to the Operations Manager and Director of Operations
  • Submit reports on audits, process improvements, and KPIs
  • Support HR in sourcing, selecting, and onboarding pharmacists

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Degree
  • Authorization to Administer Drugs by Injection preferred
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
  • Licensed with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia in good standing
  • Current CPR Certification Valid in British Columbia
  • Drug Administration by Injection is an asset
  • ISTM is an asset

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within retail pharmacy is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience is preferred
  • Strong organizational and operational oversight skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in managing pharmacy inventory and financials
  • Knowledge of the Dayforce system is an asset
  • Ability to implement and adhere to regulatory compliance
  • Experience in pharmacy management and leadership is an asset
  • High attention to detail and good judgment
  • Ability to travel regionally
