Job summary

Powerex Corp. is seeking a Rotational Analyst for a January 2027 start, with subsequent postings in Spring 2027. The program offers exposure to deal sourcing, risk management, market policy, portfolio management and real-time trading, with rotations customized to your skills.

The role aims to convert to a permanent Front Office position after program completion. Starting salary is up to $90,000 CAD. The position is based in downtown Vancouver, BC with easy transit access.

• University degree in analytical program (Commerce/Finance/Economics/Engineering).
• Strong analytical ability and multi-tasking in a high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Powerex Corp. has one open posting for our Rotational Analyst Program starting January 2027, with one or more additional postings starting Spring 2027. This program is designed for bright, highly analytical individuals who excelled in their high school and post-secondary education, and who are about to graduate University or have very recently graduated. If you are a self-starter who is passionate about energy and you have excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, this may be an opportunity for you. Powerex intends for Rotational Analysts to convert to a permanent role in our Front Office following successful completion of the program. You will actively support a number of teams throughout the rotational program.

This will give you exposure to many aspects of our business including:

• Deal sourcing and assessment.
• Risk management; including financial analysis, research, and modeling
• Market Policy and Compliance
• Portfolio management; including monthly updating of financial models and providing support to management teams
• Power Scheduling and Transmission Optimization
• Realtime Trading (24/7/365)

The Rotational Analyst role is varied as it supports numerous teams throughout Powerex. Each successful candidates’ rotations will be customized to their individual skillsets and abilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• The ideal candidate will have completed a University Degree in a highly analytical program such as Commerce (Finance, Accounting), Economics, or Engineering. Other qualifications/experience include:
