Job summary

DNV Energy Systems North America seeks a Rotating Machinery Senior Engineer SME to support advisory services across M&A, IE, and OE. Based in Montreal, Toronto, or Calgary, the role mixes hands‑on analysis with strategic guidance for developers, owners, and investors.

The position requires deep expertise in rotating equipment, root cause analysis, and reliability engineering, with a strong track record in both wind and thermal technologies and a collaborative, client-facing approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical preferred, or related discipline).
• Eight (8) years of rotating machinery experience in operational environments are highly valued.
• Strong AI and digital fluency; ability to apply data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for rotating machinery across wind and thermal assets.
• Lead technical evaluations of equipment and asset portfolios.
• Perform root cause analysis of rotating equipment failures.
• Support due diligence, independent engineering, and owner’s engineering scopes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to technical reports.
