Job summary

Finning Canada seeks a Rotating Equipment Specialist to lead technical support for rotating assets and head your CVAs. You’ll guide maintenance strategies, drive reliability and lifecycle cost improvements, and collaborate with field teams to ensure uptime and performance across customer operations.

You’ll analyze health data, develop predictive maintenance approaches, and build durable customer relationships while travelling to Finning locations as required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience maintaining and repairing rotating equipment within gas compression, power generation, and related industries.
• Strong knowledge of Caterpillar engines and equipment, with experience supporting other OEM products.
• Experience with gas turbines, compressors, generators, pumps, turbo-expanders, and power systems equipment.
• Expertise in troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, and reliability improvement strategies.
• Ability to interpret equipment performance data and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer and Finning locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Build long-term customer relationships focused on reliability, availability, and operational excellence.

Join Finning as a Rotating Equipment Specialist (RES) and become the trusted advisor behind the successful delivery of Customer Value Agreements (CVAs). In this highly visible role, you'll combine technical expertise, customer engagement, and strategic planning to help customers reduce total cost of ownership while maximizing uptime and equipment performance.

Job Description:

• Provide technical leadership and support for rotating equipment across customer operations

• 8+ years of experience maintaining and repairing rotating equipment within gas compression, power generation, and/or related industries is an asset
• Strong knowledge of Caterpillar engines and equipment, along with experience supporting other major OEM products
• Experience with gas turbines, compressors, generators, pumps, turbo-expanders, and/or power systems equipment
• Expertise in troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, and reliability improvement strategies
