Position Overview:
Are you ready to be a critical subject matter expert in the gas compression industry?

Reporting to the Customer Fleet Manager, the Rotating Equipment Specialist (RES) is responsible for delivering and executing our Customer Value Agreements (CVA). You will provide innovative technical support for field operations, ensuring equipment repairs are carried out safely, properly, and cost-effectively. Your goal is to optimize our customers' Total Cost of Ownership, ensuring the highest possible reliability and performance in line with their long-term maintenance strategy, environmental, and safety standards.

For this position, the expected salary range is between $110,000 and $125,000 annually. This range reflects our commitment to providing competitive compensation that aligns with industry standards and your qualifications. We also offer additional incentives such as a annual bonus and premium for certain shifts.

Job Description:
  • Serve as the technical and commercial expert for application, industry segment, and strategy
  • Work with customers to plan services, component replacement, and backlog items to ensure optimal TCO
  • Collaborate with the Condition Monitoring team to validate data insights and provide guidance on data trending opportunities
  • Ensure proper maintenance, repair, and operation of rotating equipment, aligned with contractual scopes and customer demands
  • Provide technical support to area Service and Field Supervisors
  • Provide technical oversight for repairs on all rotating equipment, including reciprocating/centrifugal pumps, compressors, turbines, expanders, fans, and gearboxes
  • Collaborate with Technical Communicators and Product Reliability Manager on product health issues related to CVA agreements
  • Identify data insight opportunities for deployment with the Technology team
  • Support sales leaders and sales force as a subject matter expert
  • Assist with contract scope definition for CVA growth
  • Conduct formal customer and group presentations, requiring public speaking skills
  • Travel extensively to Finning branches to mentor and focus regional sales teams on opportunities in their territories as well as build and develop customer relationships
  • Understand the competitive landscape and participate in industry associations and training

Qualifications:

  • Red Seal trade certification in Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright or Electrician
  • 8+ years’ experience in repair/maintenance in gas compression with engine, compressor, motor, generator, and pumps
  • Extensive knowledge of various OEM maintenance and repair procedures for equipment used in Gas Compression and Power Generation Industry
  • Experience with rotating equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis
  • Ability to travel to all Finning and customer locations as required
  • Keen sense of industry best practices and customer needs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in a customer facing capacity
