Job summary

Job description

The Wilder is a growing creative studio which creates art installations and experiences for people to learn about nature, to connect with each other, and to inspire creativity. We produce events, create art installations, and create activations for festivals and events in the Lower Mainland.

We are looking for freelance/flexible creatives to come on board our roster of makers to support our creations for events and art installations. The hours are flexible and casual, as events and opportunities arise, and your part in the experience will depend on your skills. We are looking to connect with:

- Designers (help us to visualise our creations, do site maps, renders, digital designs, CAD designs)
- Fabricators (welders, lighting designers, woodworkers, painters, artists)
- Digital artists (experience with AR, VR, renders, digital art and experiences)
- Producers and people experienced with creating art installations, fabricating for sets, or designing for creative experiences etc
- Event staff for events and installations across the lower mainland

We are flexible about who we bring on board because we love diverse interests and skills and we encourage diverse applicants to apply. The hours are flexible, require some weekend and event work, and are casual and on a per-project basis. We are looking for BC-based people, designers could work remotely but event/production/fabrication team must be based in Whistler, Squamish, Vancouver, or Vancouver island-based applicants who are able to drive to our event locations.

Remuneration:

We pay depending on the project, work and terms of engagement, whether it is per hour (anywhere from $25 - $55), or per project.
