Job description

Tacten is seeking an experienced IRATA Level 3 Mechanical General Foreman to support our client site, CNRL Albian, in Fort McMurray, AB. In this critical role, you will be a key member of our team responsible for executing high-altitude tasks with precision, efficiency, and safety. Leveraging your advanced skills and expertise in rope access techniques and mechanical expertise, you will play a crucial role in overseeing complex operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Position Information :
  • Start Date : May 27, 2025
  • 14 / 14 rotation, 80hrs. / week
  • FIFO provided to all major local city hubs
Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of Technicians, Industrial Trades, Inspectors, and Engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with IRATA standards, safety procedures, and project specifications.
  • Respond daily to inquiries made by the Client.
  • Provide technical guidance, direction, mentoring, training, and skills development to technicians reporting to you.
  • Review and approve timesheets and Field Level Risk Assessments, correct deficiencies, and provide feedback to technicians.
  • Assist in the investigation and documentation of near misses, safety incidents, and non-conformances.
  • Participate in internal and client-led procedural, safety, and quality audits.
  • If required, provide services in situations where no other persons are available to perform the work.
Requirements
  • Must hold a valid IRATA Level 3 Certificate.
  • Minimum 5 years of rope access experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Journeyman trade certification preferred (Pipefitter or Welder).
  • Technical report writing skills.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiar with software including Maximo, Tableau, and Pangea (or willing to learn).
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
