Job description

Position Summary

Tacten is seeking Rope Access Journeyperson Insulators to support our client's site in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. As a Rope Access Insulator, you will be a key member of our team responsible for executing high-altitude tasks with precision, efficiency, and safety. Project Details:

  • Project Based work with opportunity to work additional projects with Tacten
  • 6/1 Rotation, 12 hour shifts
  • LOA Provided
  • Start Date: June 28th with the project running until around August 3rd
Responsibilities
  • Install insulation materials, such as foam, fiberglass, or mineral wool, to prevent heat transfer, reduce energy consumption, or control sound.
  • Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas.
  • Secure insulation in place using appropriate fasteners and adhesives.
  • Regularly inspect insulation for signs of wear, damage, or degradation.
  • Replace or repair insulation that has become compromised.
  • Recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance insulation performance.
  • Consult with clients or project managers to determine insulation needs based on factors like temperature requirements, acoustic considerations, or electrical insulation needs.
  • Provide recommendations on the most suitable insulation materials and techniques for different environments.
  • Collaborate with construction or maintenance teams to ensure proper installation according to specifications.
Requirements
  • Journeyman Insulator or equivalent hours required
  • IRATA Level 1 required, or willingness to obtain. Ability to hire those with IRATA Level 2 and 3 as wellSafety Certifications
  • CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO
  • CSE/M (Confined Space and Monitor and Entry)
