Job description

Position Summary

Tacten is seeking professional, energetic and forward-thinking JP Insulators to support projects and Long Term Maintenance at our client site IOL Edmonton. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a growing division within Tacten. Do you have experience working as an Insulator and are certified in rope access or interested in becoming certified? If so, apply today!

• Long term placement
• Monday to Friday 8.6hrs./Day. EDO Schedule
• Candidates must be local to or willing to relocated to the Edmonton area.

Responsibilities

• Install insulation materials, such as foam, fiberglass, or mineral wool, to prevent heat transfer, reduce energy consumption, or control sound.
• Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas.
• Secure insulation in place using appropriate fasteners and adhesives.
• Regularly inspect insulation for signs of wear, damage, or degradation.
• Replace or repair insulation that has become compromised.
• Recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance insulation performance.
• Consult with clients or project managers to determine insulation needs based on factors like temperature requirements, acoustic considerations, or electrical insulation needs.
• Provide recommendations on the most suitable insulation materials and techniques for different environments.
• Collaborate with construction or maintenance teams to ensure proper installation according to specifications.

Requirements

• JM Insulator (if Non-Ticketed a summary of hours must be provided, minimum 4000 hrs.)
• IRATA level 1 or willingness to obtain
