Jardeg is recruiting Rope Access Technicians with a B-Pressure Welding ticket to join the Heartland Constructors team at the IOL Kearl Spring Turnaround. Charter travel is provided from Calgary, Edmonton, and Fort McMurray. This turnaround will run from May 5 to 30 on a 24/4 rotation, 12 hours per day. Overtime is available daily after 8 hours/day or 40 hours/week. Applicants with IRATA Level 1, 2, or 3 are accepted.

Rope Access Technicians perform repair, maintenance, inspection, and access work at heights using rope access techniques, which offer safety, efficiency, and environmental benefits.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Proficiency in rope access techniques and equipment
  2. Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs at heights
  3. Rigging and rope systems setup for safe access
  4. Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
  5. Follow safety protocols
  6. Effective communication
  7. Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
  8. Pressure welding and CWB welding
  9. IRATA Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification
  10. ABSA B-Pressure
  11. F3/F4 - SMAW Small Bore
  12. F6 - FCAW Small Bore
  13. F5 - SMAW Small Bore
  14. CWB - FCAW and SMAW
  15. CCO - FCAW and SMAW
  16. Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
  17. Standard First Aid (Level C or A)
  18. ESC Common Safety Orientation
  19. ESC Confined Space & Monitor
  20. Basic Rigging
  21. Valid Driver’s License
