Job Description

To properly take all guests’ Room Service orders, communicate them to other servers and work to expedite their service. To properly perform all control and revenue related paperwork.

Responsibilities
  1. Must follow all MOS or Forbes standards
  2. Responsible for answering the phone within three rings
  3. Take orders for guests and using last names at least three times during interaction
  4. Knowledge on ways to upsell/suggestive sell
  5. Inform the guest about specials in restaurant
  6. Give the approximate time of delivery for the order
  7. Prepare payment of checks
  8. Knowledge of food menu and wine list and daily specials
  9. Know and adhere to all liability laws
  10. Print and distribute hotel reports
  11. Charge all amenities and coffee orders according to SOP
  12. Complete other duties assigned
  13. Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions
  14. Assist server with set up and breakdown of trays when available
  15. Communicate amenity issues to manager/concierge when necessary
Qualifications
  1. Previous food and beverage experience in fine dining or hotel is preferred
  2. Room Service experience is preferred
  3. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  4. TABC and Food Handler certifications are required
  5. Cash handling experience preferred
