Part-time Regular Position – Sunday through Wednesday (4 days/week), 08:00 am – 4:30 pm

Position Overview

• Responsible for cleaning and arranging tenant rooms and common areas in accordance with standards of excellence.
• Monitor Emergency Response system and follow protocols accordingly.
• Support the service team by providing a quality living environment for seniors.
• Deliver exemplary laundry services, including scheduled and non-scheduled assignments.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of housekeeping processes; previous experience in a hotel or retirement environment is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Awareness of environmentally sound practices.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; self-directed, organized, and able to plan with minimal supervision.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position.
• Current First Aid and WHMIS certificates are required.

Key Activity Summary

Under the direction of the Lifestyle Manager, the Room Attendant provides housekeeping services within tenant rooms, respecting client privacy and choices.

Strives to exceed guest expectations by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to tenant requests, questions, concerns, or complaints. Takes ownership of tenant issues and follows up to ensure satisfaction.

Completes all assigned rooms within the allotted time, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism in all work areas, including common areas.

Ensures all aspects of a room are in working order and reports repairs needed to the Building Services Coordinator.

Maintains tenant security and privacy at all times, including monitoring the emergency response system. Assists with laundry services as required.

Additional Responsibilities

Assist with cleaning of common areas as needed.

Adhere to WHMIS protocols and infection control guidelines, maintaining MSDS records.

Perform other duties as assigned.
