Housekeeping Room Attendant

We are currently looking for a Housekeeping Room Attendant. The Room Attendant performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing guest rooms and bathrooms under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or the Executive Housekeeper. The Room Attendant is expected to promote a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly, and able to address guest requests and problems.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper and/or designate, the Room Attendant is responsible for:

• Entering and preparing the room for cleaning
• Making the bed(s) according to hotel standards
• Replenishing guestroom and bath supplies
• Delivering and retrieving items on loan to guests (e.g., iron and ironing boards)
• Performing rotation cleaning duties (e.g., steam cleaning carpets, spring cleaning, deep cleaning) as required
• Maintaining work area and equipment according to hotel standards
• Attending to guest calls, requests, and complaints in the assigned area
• Striving to achieve and exceed guest satisfaction
• Performing other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For...

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing ≤25 pounds without assistance and over 25 pounds with assistance
• Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart over various surfaces
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods during a shift
• Manipulate objects of varying sizes requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required

Pantages Hotel is a boutique hotel in downtown Toronto, close to shopping, dining, and entertainment. It features unique rooms with various layouts and amenities, with floor-to-ceiling windows.
