Job description

Duties Position Summary - The Room Attendant is responsible for the general clean-up and organization of guest rooms, and for working as part of the Housekeeping team.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cleans guest rooms and guest areas, including: making beds; dusting and vacuuming; cleaning bathroom; replacing supplies; cleaning windows, mirrors, cleaning kitchen areas
- May be required to clean suites and cabins which have kitchens; washing dishes, restocking cutlery items, wiping counters and appliances in addition to sleeping and sitting areas.
- Clean up to 14 credits per shift (1 credit is equivalent 30 minutes of cleaning according to cleanliness standards, a credit value is assigned to each guest room/suite/cabin based on its size and complexity
- Use tablet touchscreen technology to receive room assignments from HotSOS and update room cleaning status as required
- Stocking linen rooms, pushing carts, stocking carts
- Proper and safe usage of cleaning products including wearing all required personal protective equipment
- Support and assist Laundry team in tasks, duties and scheduling required to maintain successful operational departments
- Report maintenance problems in guest rooms and public areas immediately using HotSOS
- Participate in on-going training with equipment, tasks and duties
- Follow and adhere to lost and found procedures (for example anything found in rooms that are vacant must be turned into a Housekeeping Supervisor)
- Ensuring the safety and security of guest rooms while servicing
- Assisting guests with requests or directions
- Co-operate and accept other assignments as and when required
