Job summary

Fairmont Palliser in Calgary invites applications for a Room Attendant to uphold the hotel’s luxury cleanliness standards. You will work within the Housekeeping team to maintain pristine guest rooms and public areas, ensuring comfort and safety for all guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling procedures is an advantage.
  • Willingness to adhere to all hotel policies, including safety and hygiene protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Guest rooms meet the cleanliness standards set by the housekeep­ing department.
  • Perform turndown services as required, following established protocols.
  • Stock linen carts efficiently to support daily operations.
  • Promptly report any necessary repairs or maintenance to the Housekeeping Office.
  • Restock Guest Room Mini-Bars as per hotel standards.
  • Use cleaning products properly, adhering to safety guidelines and wearing required PPE.
  • Follow all training on Safe Work Practices and job procedures to maintain a secure environment for guests and colleagues.
  • Remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or individuals to the Housekeeping Office.
  • Immediately report any lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office.
  • Understand and comply with Emergency and Fire Procedures, ensuring the safety of guests and hotel property.

Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Palliser as our new Room Attendant. Inspire and create the grandest experience for our guest, clients and colleagues every day.

As a valued member of the Housekeeping Department, the Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel, with a primary focus on Guest rooms. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Guest rooms meet the cleanliness standards set by the Fairmont Palliser Housekeeping Department
  • Perform turndown services as required, following established protocols
  • Stock linen carts efficiently to support daily operations
  • Promptly report any necessary repairs or maintenance to the Housekeeping Office

  • Follow all training on Safe Work Practices and job procedures to maintain a secure environment for both guests and colleagues
