Job summary

Roofmart, Canada's national distributor for exterior building supply, seeks a Rooftop loader / Shipper and Receiver to safely load shingles and related products onto roofs and to manage inbound/outbound inventory. This role emphasizes safe handling and teamwork with drivers.

The position requires physical strength, the ability to lift 80–100 lbs repeatedly, and compliance with safety rules. Forklift experience and heights training are assets; the company offers health, dental, RRSP matching,

Qualifications

• Requires physical strength and stamina for rooftop loading.
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights training — an asset (can be provided).
• Valid Forklift License — an asset (training can be provided).
• Previous Warehouse and Forklift Experience — Preferred.
• Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset.
• Authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Loading rooftops with bundles of shingles and related products.
• Working closely and co-operatively with driver to ensure safe and efficient delivery of product.
• Handling material by hand and with use of appropriate equipment.
• Safely loading, unloading, moving, shipping and receiving product and inventory.
• Ensuring orders are picked correctly, tagged and double checked.
• Maintaining clean and organized work environments in the store and yard.
• Strictly adhering to and complying with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation.
• Other duties as required.
