Job summary

Alberta is seeking a roofing installer to work across various locations in the Edmonton area. The role involves installing built-up roofs, shingles, tiles and single-ply systems on sloped roofs, with emphasis on durability and safety.

The candidate should have 1–2 years of experience, basic safety training, and the ability to operate hand and power tools while working outdoors in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in roofing preferred.
• First Aid Certificate required or preferred.
• WHMIS Certificate and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install built-up roofing systems using asphalt felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
• Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles, shakes, and roofing tiles on sloped roofs.
• Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
• Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials.
• Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs.
• Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems.
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete and masonry surfaces as needed.
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other platforms.
