Job summary

SON SHINE SERVICES INC. is seeking a Roofer for on-site work at various locations around Calgary, AB. The position is permanent, full-time, with starts as soon as possible and 3 vacancies.

The salary is 29.50 hourly, with 30 to 40 hours per week, and on-site work at multiple locations in and around Calgary. Responsibilities include installing built-up and single-ply roofing systems, reading blueprints, repairing roofs, applying waterproof coatings, and sheet metal work.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of related roofing work.
• Languages: English required.

Responsibilities

• Install built-up roofing systems using asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt and gravel.
• Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems.
• Repair roofing systems.
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or masonry surfaces.
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
• Install sheet metal flashings.

• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
