Responsibilities

• Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
• Install, repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
• Install sheet metal flashings
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
• Set up scaffolding to provide safe access to roofs
• May estimate materials required and quote costs.
• Oversee the integrity of applied various low sloped roofing systems, including SBS, EPDM, TPO.
• Flat roofers will assist with removal of old roofs, install new roofs, and perform repairs
• Erects scaffolding and reads blueprints.
• Other duties that apply

Requirements

• Need to be able to communicate in English : orally and written
• Experience 5 years
• Valid drivers license is an asset
• Willing to work weekends as required
• Physically demanding and requires handling heavy loads
• Overtime may be required
• Work at various locations in Edmonton
• Able to work in noisy, dusty, dangerous and outdoor conditions
• Lift up to 45 kg weight repeatedly
• Willing to work in all weather conditions
