Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Roll-Off Truck Driver - Class 3 to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to safety, skilled in operating heavy-duty trucks, and capable of navigating diverse driving environments with precision. This physically demanding position involves preparing, loading, and transporting large open-top and compactor containers to disposal sites, transfer stations, recycling facilities, and customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate roll-off trucks safely and efficiently along industrial routes, including navigating driveways, alleyways, high-traffic roads, and tight overhead areas.
  • Execute precise backing maneuvers and positioning of containers in various environments.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Prepare and load containers securely for transport.
  • Deliver and pick up containers from customer sites, ensuring proper placement and return.
  • Communicate effectively with the operations team, reporting site issues or delays and providing route feedback.
  • Utilize app-based routing and reporting software for real-time navigation and job documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of client sites and vehicle.
  • Assist with shop and yard duties and support overflow routes as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 3 driver’s license with Q (airbrake) endorsement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience in Class 3 vehicles, specifically in multi-stop routes.
  • Clean commercial driver’s abstract.
  • Strong physical ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Basic knowledge of truck maintenance is an asset.
