What You Will Do
- Champion Safety: Ensure a safe work environment by following and promoting safe work practices.
- Master the Machine: Set up and operate roll forming machines to shape metal coils into precise profiles.
- Load and Roll: Skillfully load metal coils onto the roll forming machine.
- Precision Adjustments: Change roll dies and fine-tune machine settings to create different profiles.
- Quality Inspector: Check all profiles, lock seams, and dimensions after every setup, ensuring coil thickness and width meet specifications.
- Document and Report: Keep detailed records of coil usage, quality inspections, and daily production reports.
- Innovate and Improve: Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting new processes and technologies.
- Troubleshoot and Solve: Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving on the roll forming machine.
- Maintain Standards: Ensure metal profiles meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Follow the System: Adhere to AIL's Quality Management System.
- Be Versatile: Perform other related duties as needed.
What You Will Need
- Manufacturing Experience: Especially with roll forming metal.
- Safety First: A safety-conscious mindset, organized, and self-motivated.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience an asset.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding cause and effect, and familiarity with standard mechanics tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, side cutters, air tools).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Tech Savvy: Computer literacy and the ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications are definite assets.
- Problem Solver: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to equipment and processes.
- Work Under Pressure: Ability to work safely under pressure in a manufacturing environment.
- Welding Skills: An asset but not mandatory.

Wage - $25 Per hour
