Job summary

Canada Rocket Company is seeking a mechanical technician for our rocket test facility. You will assemble, install, and troubleshoot propulsion test hardware, including engines, instrumentation, and cryogenic plumbing, ensuring safe, compliant operation.

You will work with test engineers to prep for hot-fire campaigns, perform inspections, and document configurations for traceability, while prioritizing safety and quality in every step of the process.

Qualifications

• Technical/trade certification or associate degree in a relevant field.
• 2+ years hands‑on mechanical assembly or technician experience (aerospace/oil & gas/manufacturing).
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble rocket engines, components, and subassemblies according to drawings and specs.
• Mount test articles onto test stands and fixtures; install instrumentation.
• Perform leak checks and pressure tests on fluid/gas systems.
• Support hot‑fire test operations, including setup and safing procedures.
• Complete post‑test teardown, inspection, and refurbishment, documenting results for traceability.
