Job summary

Ocado is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and repair its SORT robotics systems at customer sites in Canada. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Fanuc arms, networks, and electrical components, while communicating effectively with clients and product support teams.

You will manage onsite inventory, perform preventative maintenance, and travel as required to service multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical engineering, computer hardware or software is an advantage.
• Up to 1 year of experience in a technical role.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and robotics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Address and resolve complex issues escalated by Product Support Specialists.
• Follow escalation matrix to hardware and software teams as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues using wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Diagnose robotic systems, including Fanuc arms, network connections and electrical components.
• Read device logs to identify and resolve problems.
• Travel to customer sites to provide on-site support and maintain customer relations.
