Job summary

The State Group Automation is seeking an experienced Robotics Engineer to join our North American team. You will contribute to the design, commissioning, and support of advanced robotic systems across manufacturing sectors.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, system integration, and hands-on programming for Fanuc robots. Travel across North America is expected, with opportunities for growth and ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a related engineering or programming field is required.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Robotics Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of robotic systems integration.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all safety standards.
  • Collaborate with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Support electrical and software design as needed.
  • Configure interference zones, I/O, and vision systems.
  • Perform robot setup including mastering, TCP, payload, and offline programs.
  • Troubleshoot and debug PLCs with Controls Engineer.
  • Optimize cycle times and improve throughput.
  • Work with Fanuc robots; knowledge of other brands is a plus.
  • Apply experience in material handling and welding processes.
  • Utilize DCS, Safe Op, and Safe Move functions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Promote and comply with all safety standards.

  • Optimize cycle times and improve throughput.
  • Work with Fanuc robots (required); experience with ABB, KUKA, Kawasaki, and Nachi is an asset.
  • Apply experience in material handling, spot welding, MIG welding, and sealing/dispensing.
  • Utilize DCS, Safe Op, and Safe Move functions.
WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM
  • 2+ years of experience as a Robotics Engineer.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering or programming field required.
  • Strong knowledge of robotic systems integration.
  • Preferred knowledge of PLC controls systems.
  • Previous experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive commissioning experience.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites across North America.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada or qualify for work authorization under the CUSMA Professionals category. We are unable to support immigration pathways outside the CUSMA process.
