Job summary

Sanctuary AI is seeking skilled Mechanical Build Technicians for a 6 month contract to help build robotic work cells for our customers. You'll work alongside our internal hardware and application engineering teams on the hands-on assembly, electrical fit-out, and testing of cell structures and subsystems, helping us deliver several customer systems on a tight timeline.

Qualifications

• Read mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• Read calipers, micrometers, levels, and dial indicators.
• Knowledge of fasteners, fits, and assembly best practices.
• Available for 6-month term starting on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assemble robotic work cells and mechanical subassemblies from drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Fit-out, alignment, leveling, and fastening to tolerances and torque specs.
• Install and route pneumatic lines, cable management, sensors, valves, enclosures.
• Light fabrication and rework: drilling, tapping, cutting, deburring.
• Support mechanical testing and flag issues or drawing discrepancies.
• Keep build records, checklists, and redlines accurate and up to date.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
